App Guides App Setup Guide – Map Links Estimated reading: 2 minutes 392 views Installation Steps Step 1 Choose a name for the app. If you have selected a Row or Column layout for your button’s menu, this name will be displayed near the app icon. Note: You can see how your chosen app name will look for a specific layout by clicking on the ‘Columns’, ‘Rows’ or ‘Icons Only’ tabs found in the App Icon Design window on the right side of the screen. Step 2 Write a short description to give website visitors a little bit more information about what the app does. Please note that the description is only shown in your menu if you have chosen the Row Layout for your button. Step 3 Click the Map Type dropdown menu and choose the type of format you’d like your app to open. Step 4 Once a Map Type option is selected, dynamic fields will appear. Please follow the directions below for each of the following.Embedded MapSelect this option if you’d like us to display a map directly inside your Contact Button menu screen. All you need to do is enter the address of the location you want to be displayed by using the Google Maps search box.Map URLSelect this option if you want to pre-populate your address inside of the Google Maps app on a phone or browser window. The best way to get the proper URL for this is to find and select the location on https://maps.google.com and then click the ‘Copy’ button found on the listing page.
